Hot-Bent Sintered Stone Basins

A hot-bent sintered stone basin is a basin thermoformed from a single sintered stone slab: the slab is heated until pliable, bent over a mold, then cooled to lock the curve. The result is a one-piece basin with no glued seams — no joint lines to trap dirt, and no adhesive to age or fail under daily hot-and-cold use.

Definition

What is a hot-bent sintered stone basin?

A hot-bent sintered stone basin is a basin thermoformed from a single sintered stone slab. The slab is heated until pliable, bent over a mold, then cooled to lock the curve. The result is one continuous piece of stone — no glued seams, no joint lines, no adhesive to age.

The process

What “hot-bent” means

Most sintered stone basins are glued together from cut pieces — every joint a seam that traps grime and ages. A hot-bent basin starts as one slab, heated until pliable and shaped over a mold in a single motion. No joint at the bend, no glue, nothing to fail later. How the process works, step by step →

Why it wins

Why buyers specify hot-bent

The full comparison lives in our hot-bent vs glued buyer’s guide. The short version:

No seam to clean

The bend is continuous stone. Water, soap, and toothpaste have no joint line to collect in — one wipe cleans the whole surface.

No glue to age

Adhesive yellows and weakens after years of hot water and cleaning chemicals. A hot-bent curve contains no adhesive, so there is nothing at the bend to degrade.

Takes daily thermal shock

Hot water then cold, every day. A glued joint fights that cycling for its whole life; a continuous bend moves with the stone instead.

Buyer questions

Frequently asked questions

What is a hot-bent sintered stone basin?

A basin thermoformed from a single sintered stone slab: the slab is heated until pliable, bent over a mold, then cooled to lock the curve. The result is one continuous piece of stone — no glued seams, no joint lines, no adhesive to age.

What widths are available?

The range covers 60 to 120 cm across around 40 vanity models. Custom widths are possible — hot bending starts from the mold, so send your target dimensions and the factory confirms feasibility before quoting.

Do you supply basin-only, or complete vanities?

The catalog range is complete vanities: hot-bent basin, solid wood cabinet, smart mirror cabinet, and Kubo/DTC-grade hardware. Running your own cabinet program and need basin-only supply? Send your specs — we hot-bend across the full category, not just catalog models.

How do I get a quote?

Start in the configurator: pick a model, width, finish, and quantity and it pre-fills the contact form. Or send drawings and target quantities through the contact page — the factory confirms feasibility from the floor before quoting.

What slab thickness and finishes do you offer?

Basins are formed from 6, 11, or 12 mm sintered stone slabs, matte finish as standard. Other finishes depend on slab availability — ask with your target look in mind.

How are the basins packed for export?

Each basin top is tape-measure checked, foam-wrapped, and secured in a wooden crate with internal framing and strapping. Most transit damage traces back to packing, so here packing counts as part of the product.

Hot-bent or glued — which should I choose?

For premium bathrooms and hotel projects, hot-bent wins on hygiene and longevity. For a low-visibility unit where budget decides, a well-made glued basin is the rational buy. Our buyer’s guide compares the two head to head.
